NOTICE OF CANDIDATE FILING DEADLINE

CITY OF KOOSKIA, IDAHO

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That the general election to be held in and for the City of Kooskia, Idaho, will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The election will be held for the purpose of electing the following offices for the specified terms:

Two Council Member positions for a term of 4 years each___

One Council Member position for a term of 2 years_________

Candidates for city elected office are required to file a Declaration of Candidacy specifying the office sought and affirming that the individual is a qualified city elector, meaning: at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, the candidate’s primary residence must be within the city, the address of the candidate’s voter registration must match the residence address provided on the candidate’s declaration, and the candidate must have resided in the city for at least 30 days prior to submitting their declaration. The Declaration of Candidacy must be accompanied by: (1) a nonrefundable filing fee of $40 or (2) a Petition of Candidacy signed by at least five qualified city electors with the signatures verified by the county clerk’s office. The deadline for filing Declarations of Candidacy is Friday, August 29th, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Declarations of Candidacy are available at Kooskia City Hall in the office of the city clerk (26 S. Main St.) from the hours of 9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Thursday) and 9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Fridays. The office will be open until 5:00 p.m. on August 29, 2025.
